So how are you feeling about your favorite college baseball team after two weekends of the season? Worried? Elated? Don't quite know what you have? I'm sure there are a bunch of different feelings after teams have played as many as seven games thus far. Just remember, tomorrow is still only the first day of March.

Having to deal with an abundance of cancellations on Friday and even into Saturday, this weekend had a whole bunch of highlights in the end. LSU's furious rally from being down 8-0 against William & Mary on Saturday night was recapped last night, and no game this weekend could compare. But Sunday did have its fair share of upsets and great performances. So without further ado, let's breakdown the biggest results and performances of Sunday.

Xavier Tops No. 5 Georgia Tech, 7-6
In the 14 team Atlantic-10, Xavier was picked to finish third by the conference coaches in the preseason poll. But the Muskateers ran into some trouble the first five games of the season. The three-game sweep at Tennessee last weekend, followed by two straight losses to No. 5 Georgia Tech in Atlanta are nothing to be ashamed of. Winning on Sunday is just icing on the cake for a team that will play its first 11 games on the road to start the '10 season. The win was the first in school history over a team that was ranked in the Top 5. Junior John McCambridge led the way with two hits and two RBI.

No. 8 Texas Sweeps Away No. 17 Stanford
That panic in Austin a week ago? It's gone now. The Longhorns are just fine, finishing off No. 17 Stanford with an 8-2 win on Sunday afternoon. Austin Dicharry started for the 'Horns, going four innings and allowing just two runs on five hits. Junior Cole Green, who led the country in starts a year ago, finished things off by going five perfect innings and striking out six. I'd say that's an impressive weapon to have out of the bullpen.

No. 20 Oregon State Shuts Down Tennessee, 1-0
Some folks ask college baseball fans all the time: Can you win a game 1-0? Yup. Ask Oregon State junior Greg Peavey who dominated the Vols on Sunday afternoon to take the series in Corvallis. Peavey threw a complete game shutout, allowing just three hits while striking out nine and walking one. The Vancouver, Wash. product gave up a single to Charley Thurber in the second, and a double to Chris Fritts in the fifth. He also walked Cody Hawn and hit Zach Osborne with a pitch in the first. None of the four runners got past second, however, and Peavey remained virtually in control for the entire game.

No. 9 TCU Takes 2-of-3 From No. 11 Cal State Fullerton
For the second straight season, TCU headed West to take on Cal State Fullerton early in the year. And for the second straight season, the Horned Frogs head back to Fort Worth with two wins. Sunday saw the two teams play a doubleheader, and after the Titans evened the series with a 6-4 win, TCU took the nightcap, 8-1. Sophomore Kyle Winkler was dominant in the rubber-game, going six innings while allowing just one unearned run to pick up his second win of the season. Fullerton will look to get back on track this week with a midweek game against No. 25 San Diego, before a weekend trip to struggling Arizona. A roadtrip could be just what the Titans need.

No. 21 East Carolina Wins Rubber-Match With No. 18 South Carolina
I said last night, it's one thing to bring quality top conference opponents into your stadium, but it's another to beat them. After opening the season losing 2-of-3 to Virginia at home in Greenville, the Pirates found a way to win the series this weekend against South Carolina. Even after dropping Friday's opener to the Gamecocks. Junior Brad Mincey was the star of Sunday for ECU, going seven innings while scattering just three hits. The Pirates survived a brutal opening two weeks and stand at 4-3 on the season. They'll host the annual Keith LeClair Classic next weekend, bringing in Illinois, West Virginia, and Western Carolina.

Other Notes:
-Give Tony Gwynn's San Diego State team a lot of credit. After starting the season with four straight losses, the Aztecs found a way to take this weekend's series against cross-town rival No. 25 San Diego with a win on Sunday. The Torerros have lost 4-of-5 now, and face a struggling Fullerton team this week before taking on scorching-hot Kentucky this weekend in their own San Diego Tournament.
-The best part about Manhattan losing 18-1 on Saturday to No. 10 Miami? The Jaspers got to come right back out and play on Sunday. The 2009 MAAC Pitcher of the Year, Mike Gazzola kept the Jaspers in the game despite giving up seven runs in five innings of work, while John Soldinger kept the Hurricanes scoreless over the last four frames to hand Miami its first loss of the season in a 12-7 win.
-I already know which team is going to get major love from College Baseball writer Eric Sorenson this week. How about Le Moyne? The Dolphins improved to 4-3 on the season with a win on Sunday, to take a weekend series at No. 26 Southern Miss. The 12-11 win was a wild one, which saw Le Moyne have to hold on for dear life to a 12-5 lead. But it did, thanks in large part to senior left fielder Chris Edmondson who drove in five runs. The Dolphins are 4-3 for the first time since the 1999 season, but things don't get much easier as they'll travel to red-hot Louisville next weekend.

How about a little love for Turtle Thomas' and the FIU Golden Panthers... Sweeping Maryland (ACC) for it's opening weekend, and Sweeping Oral Roberts University (ORU), who playing in the reginals last year and won their conference.
Turtle is going to build onto former coach Danny Price's program. Making them a consistent power, as you can see from his recruiting classes and vast improvements in his short tenure. There's still alot of work to do defensively and pitching... But, they have shown great tenacity and hot hitting!!!
GO FIU

ChiaPanther-

Turtle certainly has a winning past with programs like Miami and Arizona State. He's off to a great start at FIU and they should be a force in the Sun Belt this season! Thanks for reading and enjoy the blog.
