So yeah, awesome week so far. Right now I am packing to head off to Chicago tomorrow so I am going to keep this short and sweet. We started off this week on Saturday where we played our home opener against Ferrum College. The Panthers played us tough, but in the end our Petrels came out on top. We won 83-65. While it was a good win for us there was little time for celebration.

We then had to start preparing for Piedmont. Piedmont was a little bitter about us beating them in the first round of the NCAA tourney last year so they were looking for revenge. We jumped out to an early lead and never looked back. We ended up winning by a score of 91-67. Not a bad start out to a season.

Now we have one of the biggest tests of the year, our first away games. It is so much easier to play at home. Hopefully I will be able to report back with a couple more victories after this weekend!!
