On Wednesday morning we left for Syracuse Airport for our 6am flight to Orlando, Florida.  After some great jetting with jetBlue we were in the 85 degrees in no time.  It was sunny and in the 80's every day we were down there.  We couldn't have asked for better weather to lax in.  We practiced once or twice a day and on Thursday we were able to visit the incredible Daytona Beach.  For many of us it was our first time experiencing Daytona Beach.  Cars, motorcycles, and trucks were all able to just drive right on the beach and hang out.  The sand on the beach was so compacted; it felt like you were walking on pavement.  On Friday we had a great practice and rested the legs for the rest of the day.  At this point we were focused on what we went down to Florida to do.

Saturday morning we strapped up to play Clarkson at 1pm, it was a hot one.  We started out a little slow and Clarkson had the lead in the first quarter.  Second quarter we came out firing and went up by the half.  The second half was a battle but by the end we pulled out the win with a score of 13-11.  Our Florida trip was complete.  We got the win and headed home on Sunday afternoon.

Our next game is one of our biggest of the season.  It is against Ithaca College, who beat us during our regular season last year.  As many of you know it is always a big rivalry between Ithaca and Cortland.  This is a big part of what makes this game so important.  The game is here at Cortland where both teams go into the game undefeated.  See you Saturday at 1pm in the Stadium.
