Spring Break

This past week was extremely big for us Red Dragons. We had our first two-game week, with one of them being home and the other on Long Island.  On Wednesday we played Montclair State, which was our first home game.  We got our second victory of the season with a score of 16-4.  On Saturday we had one of the biggest games of our season.  We played a quality Gettysburg squad at Burns Park, in Massapequa, in front of an estimated 1,000 people.  Just to give you an idea of this crowd, there were 3 or 4 sections of stands filled with people while the rest of the people were all around the field along the fences.  It was a very tight fit for the spectators.  The game itself was a great one with the first half ending in a score of 5-5.  In the second half we turned on the jets and started to pull away.  We played a great game and got the win with a score of 14-8.

After the game we had a great tailgate, sponsored by our awesome alumni.  They really did a great job.  It was really nice to see everyone that came out to watch us play.  A few other guys and myself were able to spend a little more time back home.  I was extremely excited for this because my mom made an extra big pot of sauce for our pasta Sunday dinner at my nanas.  It was a great trip to the Island.

This week we are leaving for our spring break trip to Florida.  We will be playing Clarkson in Sanford at 1pm.  Tomorrow we are leaving on a 6am flight to Orlando.  We are looking forward to a great week.  Talk to you soon.
