What's up, guys?! It's Friday again and time to update you about Armstrong Women's Tennis. Since we had our match on Sunday against Valdosta State Universtiy, #3 in the nation, our weekend started off with practice on Saturday morning. Valdosta came to Armstrong well prepared. The matches were tough, physically as well as mentally. After doubles, we were up 2:1, which means we experienced our first doubles loss during this season. Our coaches gave us support and strength to compete well in the singles matches. Even though our #1 player won easily, our coach was right when he said that the matches were going to be long and challenging. After a long, sunny and hot day of tennis, we came out as winners. We ended up with a result of 6:3. The rest of the week was easy because we just had a few practices. We had time to catch up with our school work. The match for Saturday was cancelled, so we were able to get ready for a match that is to take place on Monday. This will be our only match of the week, which is also the week of our Spring Break. We are looking forward to playing against a Divison 1 school.
Hopefully we can keep up with a good performance.
