February 2009 Archives

My name is Heather Burgner and I am a senior at Florida Southern College.  I have been a member of the Women's Golf Team for four years now and have enjoyed every minute of it.  After I graduate in May, I plan on playing the Futures Tour and will travel the country doing what I love most, which is playing the game of golf.

But for now, my teammates and I are focusing on winning another National Championship.  We won it in 2007, and unfortunately didn't make it back to the Championship last year.  However, I did go as an individual and placed second.

This year we are as good as we've ever been and are hungry for another championship win.  Winning another Title will not be easy, but with hard work and determination, we can make it happen.

Our next match is our home tournament March 2-3 here in Lakeland, Florida.  So join me as I play my last semester of college golf in hopes of bringing the trophy back to Florida Southern where it belongs.
