Hello again everyone!
It's been really hard to focus in class so far this week... I'm just so ridiculously excited to get down to Terre Haute and be in the Championship atmosphere!! We had a great Last Chance meet at Point this past weekend where Dann Schneider ran a 49.33 and qualified for Nationals in the 400!! Our DMR ran amazingly well, too, and if the field wasn't so deep this year, we'd be at Nationals too. Our team of Ashley Graybill, Nikki Swanson, Emily Schudrowitz, & myself ran a 12:03.55, setting a new school record and putting us at 15th on the Nationals list. They ended up taking 10 teams for this weekend. Oh well - we were happy to finally run to our full potential! :)
Now it's on to Terre Haute!!! There are 7 of us going along for the trip (8 including Coach!), which I believe is a record number of participants for St. Norbert. Friday will be the prelims of the 400 and 800 -- Dann is ranked 10th on the list in the 400, Ashley ranked 2nd, so I know they'll both run well and make it on to finals on Saturday. Along with the 400/800 finals on Saturday, my 5K race will be at 3:55 (EST) and our 4x4 team of Ashley, Marisa Trakanovich, Katie Meyer, & Emily Schudrowitz will run after me (they're ranked 8th currently out of 10 relay teams)! I am ranked 3rd going in to the Championship, so I definitely have my sights set on the big prize. The race is gonna be crazy - with no clear cut favorite, we'll probably be packed up for quite some time. But I'm confident I can do what I need to to accomplish my ultimate goal.
Next week I probably won't be blogging because I'll be on SPRING BREAK! We have a training trip in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and we'll be running at a meet at Coastal Carolina University. Of course, first things first are to run well at Nationals, but it'll also be nice to get a break away from studying for an entire week in warmer weather next week!
You can check out all Championship info as well as video from all the races at :

"If you can dream it, you can do it..." Now we're off to the DIII Indoor National Track Championships at Rose-Hulman Institute in Terre Haute, Indiana, making dreams a REALITY! :)
Till next time...Go Green Knights!!!,
