This week marks the last week of J-Term and pretty soon we will be back at it with the regular spring semester class load. This past weekend we had a really strong series against Augsburg. They are ranked at the bottom of our conference so we won the two games pretty handily. Those games were definitely a good break after some really intense games with Stevens Point and St. Thomas. We try to take all of our games seriously, but sometimes it is nice to have a game where we can work hard, but not have the stress of difficult competition.
Tonight is a big game for us. We play UW-River Falls, which is the team that is tied with Stevens Point for first in the NCHA conference. We played River Falls last year and they are a team of great skaters and they work really hard. We know they will be a good challenge for us especially as we begin to finish out our conference play in the next month. It is a home game tonight, which I am looking forward to.
This week my Grandma is in town and she and my mom came down to feed us last night before our big game. We had Grandma's specialty, spaghetti and meatballs, and it was just delicious. I was so happy that we could get the girls together to have some fun and relax some before our big game. Since my mom isn't working right now, it is nice that she and grandma can come down and do a pasta feed for the team. I am very thankful they were both willing.
Since this week is another three game week, we will need to get full amounts of sleep and drink lots of water. Though having three games in a week can be hard on our legs, for me, games seem more emotionally draining than anything else. I think this is just because I am pretty competitive and get so excited to play. I think we are ready to take on some better competition tonight and are excited at our chance to play the best in Wisconsin.

Jess,
Love your blogs. You played great tonight!! Picture perfect goal to clinch the victory. What a great leader you have been this year! No letdown this weekend, OK?
