20080911_6189LS Molly Frazee web.jpgHi, this is Molly! I am writing to you from the bus on our way back from Charleston Southern. It has been a long weekend for our team. We left early Friday morning, and will arrive back in Lynchburg early Tuesday morning. For those of us who are lucky enough to have 7:40 a.m. classes (myself included), we will be fortunate to get a couple hours of sleep in before class. I think tomorrow is going to be a nap day for many of us, because we have the day off from practice.

Well, now let's talk about the weekend. We played Coastal Carolina and Charleston Southern and won both games pretty soundly. The girls played so hard.

One neat thing we all did was go down to the ocean Friday night. For the girls who played, they used it as their ice tubs. We often do ice tubs for recovery. It sounds painful, but it really helps with muscle recovery. You get numb after the first couple of minutes. After the ocean, we all got in the hot tub.

Our first game was against Coastal Carolina, Saturday afternoon. We then got to eat at an all-you-can-eat buffet that night, after the Coastal game. Coach Green even let us get desert, so that was a treat.

On Sunday, we had a devotional done by Coach Deyo's dad. We then had an hour to shop at the outlet malls. A lot of girls came away with great deals.  Sunday night after a short practice, we ate at California Dreamin', which is a great restaurant right on the harbor in Charleston.

For my sisters and me, this weekend was a great time to catch up with some friends of ours who are medical missionaries and happen to have triplet boys and also another son. They are flying out of Atlanta on Wednesday to go back to Africa, so it was nice to be able to see them.

Before I wrap up, I ask that you keep the McKenna family in your prayers. The McKenna's have always been such great fans. They have never missed a home game, and often come to the road games. Mr. McKenna passed away this past week, and his funeral is tomorrow. I just want to ask all of you who read this to keep Mrs. McKenna, Brooke (their daughter) and the rest of the extended family in your prayers. I had the privilege of visiting Mr. McKenna in the hospital before he passed, and he touched me with his words of encouragement! It is often hard to understand why the Lord sometimes does what He does, but He always has a purpose!

I hope you all have a good week! Our senior night game is this Saturday, and while I will not be playing, I know that the rest of the seniors would appreciate your support! It is hard to believe we only have two more home games left!

Until next time,

Molly
