20080911_6189LS Molly Frazee web.jpgHey family, friends and fans. I am on the way back from an exciting weekend! I want to start off by saying thank you to all the fans, both at the game and watching at home, for all the prayers, support and encouragement throughout our season and during the tournament. It has been an exciting ride, and we are not done yet!

In our first Big South Tournament game, we played Charleston Southern and won by 10 points. The next day, we played Winthrop in the semifinals and won by 19 points.

Finally, we played Gardner-Webb in the championship game. Even though they came into the tournament as a No. 6 seed, they gave us two tough games during the regular season! So, we knew it was going to be a battle going into the game. Some of the players got into foul trouble early on in the contest, and we found ourselves down by five at halftime.

In the second half, we knew we had to come back strong. We went up by 10 points with a little over seven minutes to go, and then only scored four points during the remaining time! As a result, we only led by one point with a little over 20 seconds left. It was Gardner-Webb's ball, and they were able to advance it up the court with about 12 seconds left. Coach Green called a timeout, and we knew our only chance was not to foul.

A girl from Gardner-Webb ended up driving it in to the hoop, but was not able to finish it. As soon as we knew we won, everyone started jumping up and down. It was hard to believe that we had actually pulled through and won! We are so excited to see who and where we will play in the NCAA Tournament! For those of you who are interested, the selection show is on ESPN at 7 p.m. this evening.

Once again, I know I speak for the entire team in that we want to give all of the honor and glory to God. He alone deserves all of the praise! While I personally was not able to play, I am so thankful that everyone stayed safe! The Lord has blessed our team in tremendous ways, and He is not done yet.

I personally want to say a special thank you to Dan Bullen and his fiancée for coming. He coached us in AAU and is a great family friend! I also want to say thank you to the McMillons and the Carters. Also, thank you to everyone else's friends and family who came! Thanks to Sparky and the cheerleaders, who came back early from break to cheer us on! You don't realize how much it meant to all of us!

Our season continues! Please keep our team in your prayers!
