In the game of life, opportunities come and go but how you embrace them is entirely up to you.  We should know that the same opportunity rarely comes twice but on those rare occasions when you are given a second chance, to avoid regret, it is best not to let it pass you by again.

In the game of basketball, the way I see it is you are guaranteed two opportunities.  They come in the form of two twenty minute segments called halves.  Be careful in taking too many opportunities for granted, because one day the result of the game could be in someone else's favor.  The goal, put together a full forty minutes of perfection.

I apologize for the extended absence it has been a busy month!  After a successful showing at the Carrs/Safeway Great Alaska Shootout we focused our attention on preparing for our finals in the classroom and improving our individual skills on the court for a strong finish to the first semester.  After a seventeen day break from action we suited up again for our last finals of the year; a double header aginst Mansfield College followed by a second double header against Cal State Stanislaus.  Solid performances down the line-up were recorded for the Seawolves in the two victories over Mansfield but our biggest test came in the games against Stanislaus, an NCAA Division II West Region foe.  With the understanding of how important these two games were for us we prepared for a fight.  We committed a season low ten turnovers and made 24 of 33 shots from the free-throw line to propel us to two straight victories.
