National Ranking

It's a great day to be a Seawolf!  The USA Today-ESPN Division II Top-25 Poll was released Tuesday January 27,2009 and the UAA Women's Basketball team was ranked #1 in the nation.  For our team this is a big honor and ultimately this is why we play the game, to be apart of something special.  It was not our goal to be number one now; it is being number one at the end of our season.  "Success causes failure" therefore, we have to move forward and get better because every game we will face our opponents best and on any given night anyone can beat anyone.

It is very humbling to be in our position and along the way you realize that this is bigger than 'you' and you should not take any moment of it for granted.  It is a lifetime opportunity and for NCAA college athletes these moments can be few and far between.  My advice, work hard and hold on to these times for as long as possible.
