Welcome back!
You probably wondered to yourself over these last 6 months, where's Rich and why hasn't he been posting anything to the Blog!?!
Relax friends; I'm here to make it all better.
Unfortunately in the aftermath of our loss to Franklin-Marshall last spring, I decided to forgo posting for a while (originally just for a couple weeks...but then a couple weeks turned into a couple months and, well...here we are). During the tournament, you keep winning and you keep playing. So after our season ended I didn't even want to think about our last loss. I felt I had nothing to good to say and as my mom taught me a long time ago: "If you don't have anything good to say, don't say anything at all."
But here I am again, my fourth year here at Brandeis just starting up and basketball getting back into swing already.
I spent the summer back in Virginia; working at an internship with a large gov't organization, playing ball in a summer league with some fellow college players and kids from my high school team and in NC at the beach for two non-consecutive weeks.
With all that behind me, I am refreshed and resolved to work hard and build a solid team and carry-on the Brandeis tradition that we've been building here.
Speaking of tradition, all you people out there on the interweb should be aware of our new Brandeis Judges' logo.
As I had mentioned last November, in my New President, New Blog posting, our old logo was an owl with a penchant for dispensing justice.
The management has decided it is time to move on though, and I'd like to unveil to all of you the new Brandeis Judges' Logo, you saw it here first:

It's okay to be impressed...I am. Hopefully we can get some inflatable gavels this year for the crowd or something like that. I know that I feel more like a fan when I'm at a sporting event with a giant foam hand or an inflatable noise maker (nudge nudge athletics office), but maybe I'm in the minority on that. Just a thought.
I'll try to make up for lost time with a few weekly posts. Unfortunately my time is split between class, working out, and the ever necessary mid afternoon nap, so I can't make any promises.
