G'day,

My name is Robert Le Guen and I play midfield on the NYiT Men's lacrosse team. I grew up in Australia and moved to the U.S to play college lacrosse.

The team has started it's 5th week of practice and it's finally time to start the regular season. We open our season as NCAA Division II defending champions on the road as we travel to Richmond, VA this Sunday to take on Wingate. We opened up our season against Wingate last year in a very competitive game and expect no less this year from a tough Bulldogs team.

It is very exciting to begin our quest for back-to-back titles but it will be no easy feat. There are a lot of very talented lacrosse teams in Division II this year and every game on our schedule is of great importance. We will see over the coming weeks if we are up to the challenge.

I will be making weekly installments on my blog to keep everybody posted on what happens on and off the NYiT lacrosse field. I will try to blog after our first regular season game. Until then take care.

-Rob
