No. 3 Georgia found itself in that predicament when its No. 1 singles player, KU Singh, left the team. Suddenly, freshman Ben Wagland found himself as the Bulldogs’ new No. 1 singles player in the midst of preparing for his first NCAA tournament.
Tennessee defeats Mississippi State to advance
URBANA, Ill. – For the third time in four years, Tennessee advanced to the quarterfinals of the NCAA championships.
Just like he did in the regular season, sophomore Hunter Reese beat Malte Stropp on court 2 to clinch Tennessee’s 4-2 victory against Mississippi State on Thursday in the Round of 16 at the Atkins Tennis Center.
