Parking, Transportation and Attractions 

Information on Omaha parking, transportation and local attractions may be found below and will continue to be updated as details for the 2013 College World Series are confirmed. 

 

Parking

In addition to parking in TD Ameritrade Park Omaha stadium lots, several parking options are available for fans.

 

Creighton will once again offer parking for CWS fans and visitors. Parking is available in the specified lots detailed in the map. Tailgating will be permitted, but no motor homes or recreational vehicles will be admitted due to size constraints. Lots will be patrolled during event sessions. View parking map here.

 

The City of Omaha has surface lots and garages offering between 1,000 and 4,500 parking stalls depending on the time of day. For a complete listing of all available lots, please visit Omaha.CentralParking.com and select TD Ameritrade Park Omaha in the Attractions drop-down menu (Music and Sports category). Public parking in these lots is available on a first-come, first-served basis at various prices.

 

Transportation

A number of different public transportations will be available for the 2013 College World Series, including circulator buses and park and ride options.  The route details for 2013 will be updated once confirmed.

Opening Celebration Day
Be a part of the 2013 NCAA Men’s College World Series with a full day of free events for the entire family. Experience CWS at Opening Celebration Day, Friday, June 14. 

 

Open Practices
Opening Celebration Day begins with open practices. Watch and cheer on your favorite teams as they take the field for one last practice before the Series begins. Each of the eight teams will practice for one hour and practices will run back to back. 

 

Team Autograph Sessions presented by AT&T
Stop by the Team Autograph Sessions presented by AT&T in the concourse of TD Ameritrade Park for the opportunity to meet the players and coaches up close. Each team will sign autographs for 30 minutes beginning 30 minutes after their open practice.

 

CWS Fan Fest
Where’s the best place to get ready for the College World Series? It’s just outside the ballpark in CWS Fan Fest. This free fun-filled, interactive area allows fans of all ages a chance to experience the thrills, excitement and spirit of a NCAA championship. Stop by CWS Fan Fest to take a swing at homerun derby, test your skills at speed pitch, cheer on your team at the poster making station, get your photo taken with the championship trophy or simply enjoy the entertainment and concessions from some of Omaha’s own. The CWS Fan Fest is the place to be on on game day!

 

Opening Ceremonies
As day turns to night, join thousands of baseball enthusiasts and proud Nebraskans in filling the stands of TD Ameritrade Park Omaha for the Opening Ceremonies. The exciting show features Olympic-style team introductions, guest speakers, awards, live entertainment and a firework finale that will light up the downtown Omaha skyline.

 

The Road to Omaha Run Presented by Northwestern Mutual
Lace up for a good cause at the College World Series in the 3rd annual Road to Omaha 5K Run Presented by Northwestern Mutual. On Saturday, June 23, fans, families, and runners of all skills levels can hit the ground running through the city of Omaha, including a lap inside TD Ameritrade Park Omaha. Proceeds from the event will go to the Omaha Parks Foundations and a local charity. To register, click here.

 

NCAA Youth Clinics
The NCAA Youth Clinics are a community outreach program that connects kids with selected championships and provides them with resources designed to have a lasting impact. Participants receive sport instruction from NCAA coaches and student-athletes and get valuable information on fitness, healthy lifestyles and sportsmanship. The NCAA will once again host clinics during the College World Series. Detailed information on the clinics and registration information will be provided once available.

Event Details

• Date: June 23
• Start Time: 8:30 a.m.
• Distance: 5-kilometer run/walk on paved trails and streets
• Location: Take in scenic view of downtown Omaha before making a lap through the on the hallowed ground of the TD Ameritrade Park Omaha. The route begins on Riverfront Drive Trail near the Lewis and Clark Landing and ends on the Boardwalk overlooking the Lewis and Clark Landing and the Missouri River.

 

Registration
• Register: Click here or onsite beginning at 6 a.m. the day of the event.
• Registration Fee: $25; $20 (youth 18 and under). All participants registered by Friday, June 14, will receive an event t-shirt.


Race Bib & T-Shirt Pickup
• Friday, June 21, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. (Lewis and Clark Landing)
• Sunday, June 23, 6 to 8 a.m. (Lewis and Claruth k Landing)

 

Awards
Category winners will receive two tickets to Game 2 of the CWS finals, Tuesday, June 25. Additional prizes will be awarded. (5 year age groups)

All proceeds from the 5-kilometer run/walk will benefit Omaha parks and a local Omaha charity through the Omaha Parks Foundation.

Selection Process
The championship provides for a field of 64 teams. Thirty conference champions qualify automatically; the balance of the field is selected at-large by the NCAA Division I Baseball Committee.


Selection Show
The 2013 NCAA Division I Baseball Championship bracket will be announced on May 27 at Noon ET on ESPNU.


Bracketing Information
The championship bracket consists of 64 teams. Sixteen, four-team Regionals will be conducted at non-predetermined sites. All regional tournaments are double-elimination with sixteen teams advancing to Super Regionals.

 

Eight, two team Super Regionals will be played at non-predetermined sites. The Super Regionals are a best-of-three series. Winners of the eight super regional tournaments will qualify for the Men’s College World Series in Omaha, Neb.

The 2013 NCAA College World Series will again be played at TD Ameritrade Park Omaha. The 24,000 seat stadium opened in 2011 and is home to the College World Series as well as the Creighton Bluejays Baseball team and Omaha Nighthawks Football team (UFL).


Stadium Guidelines
To ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for all patrons, the following stadium policies will be observed during the College World Series.

 

• The following items are NOT permitted into TD Ameritrade Park Omaha: bottles or cans, food or drink coolers, outside food or drink (20-ounce or smaller empty, clear plastic bottles will be allowed for water), large bags or back packs, frisbees or beach balls, large umbrellas, laser pointers, artificial noisemakers, fireworks, illegal drugs and alcohol, weapons of any kind, including lawfully concealed firearms, commercial signs or banners without the prior approval of TD Ameritrade Park Omaha, and any item deemed to challenge public safety.

 

• Cameras ARE permitted for still photography and video for personal use, but lens length must be shorter than approximately one inch, and no additional detachable lenses will be permitted.

 

•  As a courtesy to your fellow spectators, fans will be asked to refrain from walking down aisles in the reserved seating areas during at-bats. Fans should walk down aisles to their seats between at-bats, between innings or during other breaks in play.


• Carrying a concealed weapon is prohibited at TD Ameritrade Park Omaha unless otherwise authorized by law. Violation of this prohibition is a criminal offense. Firearms and weapons cannot be checked into the security or guest services offices. 

 

Parking 

On the TD Ameritrade Park/CenturyLink Center campus, there are approximately 800 parking stalls available for public use and for those with ADA needs. Public parking in Lots A, E and G are available on a first-come, first-served basis at a cost of $10 per vehicle. There will be no charge for ADA parking. A limited number of ADA parking stalls also are available in Lot B and will be offered to the public daily at no charge. These lots will open at 8 a.m. on CWS game days and will close 90 minutes after the event. Tailgating is permitted in all TD Ameritrade Park/CenturyLink Center lots. Tailgate festivities cannot extend into additional parking stalls and no tents may be staked into the ground. Additional parking and public transportation options may be found here.
