In light of the recent devastation that struck Oklahoma, and in speaking with the University of Oklahoma staff and the local United Way chapter of Oklahoma, it was determined that the best way to help those in need is to provide funding assistance. While the food, clothing and other efforts that have been provided are greatly appreciated, those affected by the tornado cannot carry extra things with them so additional items for them go unused. The Red Cross is requesting funds to provide for housing, meals, personal items and more.
So in an effort to make sure all of us (the fans, Women’s College World Series staff and the NCAA) are providing what they need most right now, we are asking those fans that want to help to make a donation to the Red Cross. The easiest way do this is either text a donation – text “REDCROSS” to 90999 to donate $10 or go to RedCross.org and earmark your gift to Oklahoma Disaster Relief.
Again, we thank you for any charitable efforts you can provide and we look forward to seeing you at the Women’s College World Series.
