Bradley’s Kaiser Found Dead

PEORIA, Ill. (AP) – Authorities are waiting for autopsy results to determine why a Bradley University baseball player died.

Peoria County Coroner Johnna Ingersoll told the Peoria Journal Star newspaper that 21-year-old junior Phil Kaiser died early Monday morning at a local hospital.

Authorities say Kaiser went to church and shopping Sunday night and was found unresponsive at his girlfriend’s apartment around 2 a.m. Monday. He spoke to his mother by phone around 11:30 p.m. Sunday.

Family members say he didn’t have a history of medical problems.

An autopsy being performed Monday.

Kaiser has played two seasons for the Bradley baseball team and was studying communications and advertising.
