No. 18 Pomona-Pitzer at No. 11 Chapman

This single game meeting on Friday will pit two of the top teams in the West. The two teams have already played twice this season with Pomona-Pitzer winning both contests. The Sagehens enter the series with a 10-1 season mark. After dropping four in a row, Chapman rebounded to sweep McMurry last weekend, evening its record at 4-4.

Rhodes College Classic: Rhodes, Emory, Maryville, No. 12 Marietta

Nationally-ranked Marietta will be opening its season against some of the hottest competition in Division III baseball. Despite a 2-5 record, host Rhodes College is coming off a doubleheader split with No. 15 Mississippi College. Emory has won games in a row, and is 7-1 overall entering the tournament. Maryville has won four consecutive contests to improve to 6-3 entering the weekend. The teams will play at least two games at USA Stadium in Millington, Tenn., which was the official training site for the U.S. Olympic Team from 1986-96. USA Stadium will also host the 2011 NCAA South Regional.
