MOUNT OLIVE, N.C. –- No. 25 Georgia College (36-18) won its third elimination game at the 2013 NCAA Southeast Regional, knocking out host No. 1 Mount Olive College (48-8) 2-1 Saturday Night.

Lefty starter Christian Bragg got the last three outs of the first game for Georgia College, then went the distance in this game, scattering six hits and three walks for just one run while fanning four. The junior improved to 5-2 on the year, having never thrown 10 innings in one day in his entire baseball career.

The Bobcats looked good early, scratching across a run in the second inning on an infield single from catcher Steve Hazel, plating third baseman Jeremy Donaldson, who singled.

Mount Olive took until the seventh inning to tie the game, a run coming in on a Matt Petrone single. Bragg induced a double play to the next batter to end the threat in the seventh, what would turn out to be a huge play.

In the bottom of the ninth, Donaldson led off with a single, taking third on a single from outfielder Mikee Moore to right center. After John Welborn came in for Donaldson as a pinch runner, the Trojans intentionally-walked Hazel to load the bases for Hogenkamp.

Hogenkamp took a 2-1 pitch to the right side, a high chopper that reached right field for the game-winner.

Donaldson finished 2-for-4 with a run, while both Hazel and Hogenkamp finished 2-for-3 with an RBI.

Mount Olive lefty Derek Justice (4-2) was masterful, going the distance with just the two runs on eight hits. Petrone finished 2-for-4 with the lone RBI for the Trojans.
