APPLETON, Wis. – For the second time in as many days the UW-Stevens Point baseball team rallied late and won its second game of the NCAA Division III World Series 4-3 against Kean on Saturday night.

The Pointers will take on Linfield, which is also undefeated in this World Series, Sunday, May 26 at 7 p.m.

Just one day after overcoming a 5-0 deficit in the eighth inning to beat Manchester 6-5, the Pointers found themselves trailing Kean 3-1 in the eighth inning.

Casey Barnes led off the top of the eighth inning with an infield single, but was thrown out at second when Riley Spetz reached on a fielder's choice. Spetz advanced to second on a wild pitch and moved to third base when Bobby Gregorich singled.

Bryton Guckenberg, who hit a walk-off home run against Manchester Friday night, reached on a throwing error by the Cougars' pitcher, which allowed Spetz to score and brought the Pointers to within a run, 3-2.

Both Gregorich and Guckenberg advanced one base on a wild pitch, and Dan Douglas smacked a single up the middle to bring both runners to the plate and give UWSP a 4-3 lead.

Luke Watson earned the win by throwing two innings out of the bullpen in relief of starting pitcher JP Feyereisen.

Douglas entered the game with 243 career hits in a Pointers uniform, tied with Jake Frombach for the most in program history. The UWSP starting shortstop broke Frombach's six-year old record with a bunt single to lead off the third inning.
