BATON ROUGE, La. -- An NCAA tournament game between LSU and Oklahoma has been delayed by a severe weather warning and fans have been encouraged to leave the stadium and take shelter in their cars.

It was not raining when the field crew rolled out the tarp, but forecasts indicated a heavy thunder storm was approaching.

Many fans left their seats, but remained in covered areas at Alex Box Stadium, including the concourses behind the infield grandstand. LSU officials also advised fans that they could be re-admitted if they felt more comfortable in their vehicles.

LSU led 3-1 after four innings before the delay started.
