Day One of the 2017 College World Series had just about all the drama you could expect. Cal State Fullerton went up 5-1 on Oregon State — a team that had only lost four times in 58 games this season — but the Beavers rallied to win 6-5.

In the second game of the day, Florida State took a slim 4-3 lead into the eighth inning, only to see LSU rally for two runs in the bottom half of the frame to win 5-4.

Louisville defeated Texas A&M 8-4 to kick off action on Sunday. Florida defeated TCU 3-0, thanks to a great performance by pitcher Alex Faedo who allowed two hits and no runs through seven innings.

Starters: Jared Janczak (TCU) vs. Alex Faedo (Florida)

Preview: Two teams looking to avenge early exits from Omaha last season face off in the highest team ERA in the CWS (TCU) vs. the only team that made it to Omaha with two NCAA Tournament losses (Florida).
