CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (AP) -Senior guard Demetri McCamey scored 13 points to lead No. 13 Illinois to an 84-45 victory over Toledo on Wednesday night in the second round of the 2K Sports Classic.

McCamey was 3 for 4 from beyond the arc and had 11 points in the first half as the Illini (2-0) opened a 47-18 lead. He played only 18 minutes and finished with seven assists. Mike Davis added 12 points and six rebounds for Illinois.

Delino Dear scored 11 points for the Rockets (0-1), who have lost 33 straight road games and 49 of their last 50.

D.J Richardson's 3-pointer capped Illinois' 7-0 run to open the game. Illinois made its first five 3-point attempts. McCamey had two 3s and Richardson and Bill Cole had one each as the Illini went up 20-5 with 15:36 to play in the first half.

The Illini were 20 for 33 (60.6 percent) in the first half, including going 5 for 11 from behind the arc (45.5 percent). McCamey finished the first half with 11 points and six assists.

After a sluggish start to the second half in their season opener against UC Irvine on Monday, the Illini opened with an 8-2 run to take a 55-20 lead.

Mike Tisdale added 10 points for the Illinois, who sat its starters for most of second half.
