BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — Indiana forward Will Sheehey has injured his lower left leg and is listed as day-to-day.

In a release issued late Wednesday night, the 17th-ranked Hoosiers said the injury occurred during practice earlier in the day.

Indiana hosts UMBC on Thursday night, and it’s unclear whether Sheehey will play.

The sophomore forward has played a key role in Indiana’s resurgence. He is one of five Hoosiers scoring in double figures (10.7) and is the second-highest scoring non-starter in the Big Ten.

After three consecutive losing seasons, Indiana is 11-0 for the first time since 1975-76. That team went 32-0, won the national championship and is the last Division I men’s basketball champion with an undefeated record.
