Northwestern's Cobb suspended for the upcoming season due to violations
EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern has announced that rising junior guard JerShon Cobb has been suspended for the upcoming 2012-13 season due to violations of team policy.
Cobb remains enrolled at Northwestern and continues to be a part of the Wildcats' program. He maintains two years of athletic eligibility.
"There are standards that each student-athlete is expected to uphold," Northwestern head men's basketball coach Bill Carmody said. "JerShon has our complete support as he works to fulfill those expectations and we look forward to having him rejoin the program in a full capacity in the future."
