Torrey Craig was named the Atlantic Sun Player of the Year in 2011-12 after he led the A-Sun in points per game at 16.4 and finished second in the league in rebounding at 7.7. Craig was named the preseason Player of the Year as well, and showed his versatility as he was fifth in the A-Sun in 3-pointers made with 83.

On its way to winning the CIT postseason tournament, Mercer point guard Langston Hall shined in winning MVP honors. Hall averaged 5.6 assists in the five games and scored 16 points in the championship game victory against Utah State. He finished fourth in the conference in assits with 160 and had one of the best assist-to-turnover ratios as well (1.6:1). Look for Hall to become one of the better point guards in the nation in 2012-13.

Parker Smith landed at North Florida from Tennessee State last season and tore up the league. Smith owned the NCAA’s highest scoring average for a player that did not make a start, while setting UNF single-season records for most 3-pointers made (90) and attempted (256). Smith was also lethal from the free-throw line, leading the Atlantic Sun with an 83.8 percentage.
