D.J. Cooper returns for his senior season fresh off leading Ohio to the Sweet 16 before a loss to North Carolina. He owns the school record for assists and needs just one more steal to own that one as well. Cooper has scored 1,595 points and will likely be right near the top of the record books in that category too.

Javon McCrea was a huge reason why Buffalo won 20 games last season. He led the team in scoring 12 times and in rebounding 11 times, and finished the regular season sixth in the conference in scoring, fifth in rebounding, fourth in blocks per game. All of this after being named the MAC’s freshman of the year the season before.

In his first season at Toledo, Rian Pearson just missed being the league’s top scorer. He still averaged 16.4 points per game to help the Rockets win 19 games — four more than Toledo had won in the prior three seasons combined.
