Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant has inspired many to pursue their basketball dreams over the years, and former Oklahoma sharpshooter Buddy Hield is among them.

The 2016 Naismith Award winner posted a moving tribute to Bryant on the day the NBA legend will play his last game.

Check it out:

Hield has been spending quite a bit of time with his idol recently. Kobe and Buddy met up during the NCAA tournament, and Hield also attended Bryant’s second-to-last NBA game against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

It's sad to see Bryant's career come to an end, but it's clear his legacy will live on forever with guys like Hield being so moved by his ability and mentality.

Kobe and the Lakers will take on the Utah Jazz at 10:30 p.m. ET Wednesday night at the Staples Center. We know Hield will be watching.
