Georgia Tech beat Northwestern 52-51 on Tuesday night in a back-and-forth slugfest. And the Yellow Jackets clinched the victory thanks to some late-game heroics from Tadric Jackson.

Watch as Jackson gets the ball and drives for a lefty layup as time expires. The kiss off the glass was smooth:

Jackson finished with 10 points and seven rebounds on the evening. Georgia Tech improved to 4-1 with the win while Northwestern fell to 4-3 – a rough start for a team fresh off its first NCAA tournament appearance.

Joe’s claim to fame since joining NCAA.com: he’s predicted the correct national championship game twice… and picked the wrong winner both times. Growing up, Joe squared off against both Anthony Davis and Frank Kaminsky in the Chicagoland basketball scene. You can imagine how that went.
