CLINTON, Miss. -- A tough first half proved too much for the Lady Cats to overcome and No. 14 Louisiana College fell 86-84 in its regular-season finale at Mississippi College.

The loss dropped LC to 22-2 overall and 18-2 in American Southwest Conference play. The Lady Cats lost their two regular-season games by a combined seven points, with the other loss coming in a 65-60 setback at McMurry in January.

On Monday night, Louisiana College trailed 35-24 at halftime after shooting just 7.1 percent (1 of 14) from the 3-point line in the opening session.

The Lady Cats rebounded to outscored Mississippi College by nine, 60-51, in the second half, but the damage was done.

The loss overshadowed an impressive performance by Louisiana College senior forward Tillisha Givens, who put up a 25-point, 11-rebound double-double and was one of four Lady Cats to reach double figures. She was joined by Kayla Guidry (12), Roslyn Wilmer (14) and Shasidy Ludgood (11) in scoring at least 10.

The Lady Choctaws had six players reach double figures, including two logging double-doubles, Jennifer Wair (17 points, 13 rebounds) and Randa Lee (10 points, 14 assists). The other double-figure scorers for MC were Jalessa Taylor (18), Traci Rodgers (15), Elizabeth Brooks (11) and Valeri Stewart (10).
