The Skinny: The Cardinal have won 27 in a row since consecutive road losses to DePaul and Tennessee in December. They ended Connecticut's NCAA-record 90-game winning streak that same month and would like another shot at the Huskies. Stanford ran over its first two opponents and survived a tough battle with North Carolina in the regional semifinals before spoiling Gonzaga's run in front of its home fans. Stanford has made the Final Four the last four seasons and hopes not to come up empty again.

• Last appearance: 2011
• Scoring: Team (78.1); Danielle Adams 22.3; Tyra White 13.6; Sydney Carter 10.5

• Last 10: 8-2
• The Skinny: Texas A&M advanced to its first Final Four ever after beating Big 12 rival Baylor for the first time this season in the regional final. While it's the school's first trip, it's not Gary Blair's as he led Arkansas to the Final Four in 1998. Danielle Adams became the school's first first-team All-American on Tuesday. She led the conference in scoring and had 28 points and 11 rebounds in a second-round win against Rutgers. It was the highest point total by an A&M player in a NCAA tournament game. The Aggies continue to be one of the top defensive teams in the country.

Dayton Regional Champion - Notre Dame (30-7)
•

• Coach: Muffet McGraw
• Conference: Big East
• Bid: At-Large
• Region: Dayton | Seed: No. 2
• Tournament Record: 31-16, 18 years

• Assists/Turnovers: Team (17.5/17.8); Skylar Diggins 4.8/3.9; Brittany Mallory 2.8/1.7
• 3-pointers: Team (.362); Brittany Mallory 43; Skylar Diggins 33
• Last 10: 8-2
• The Skinny: Notre Dame advanced to the Final Four for the first time since 2001 when the Irish won it all. They can take heart that in that season Notre Dame lost to UConn in the Big East tournament championship only to beat the Huskies in the national semifinals. It will be a short two-hour drive for Notre Dame to Indianapolis as the school becomes the second consecutive to play the Final Four in its home state. The Irish beat Tennessee for the first time in 20 tries to get to the Final Four, they can only hope for the same success against the Huskies, who beat them three times during the regular season.

Philadelphia Regional Champion - Connecticut (36-1)
• Nickname: Huskies
• Coach: Geno Auriemma
• Conference: Big East
• Bid: Big East champion
• Region: Philadelphia | Seed: No. 1
• Tournament Record: 81-15, 23 years
• Last appearance: 2011
• Scoring: Team (76.9); Maya Moore 22.5; Tiffany Hayes 13.9; Bria Hartley 12.5
• Rebounds: Team (42.6); Maya Moore 8.2; Kelly Faris 6.7; Stefanie Dolson 6.2
• Assists/Turnovers: Team (19.5/15.4); Maya Moore 4.0/2.2; Kelly Faris 3.7/2.2
• 3-pointers: Team (.358); Bria Hartley 68; Maya Moore 63
• Last 10: 10-0
• The Skinny: The Huskies are back in the Final Four for the fourth consecutive season. UConn looks for its third national championship in a row, trying to become just the second team to accomplish it. As coach Geno Auriemma quipped, his team is the only one that has players that actually have won a national championship on their roster. UConn used a superb defensive effort to beat Duke in the regional final after battling with Big East foe Georgetown in the semifinals. The Huskies have beaten Notre Dame in all three meetings this year. The Huskies had their record 90-game winning streak end in Stanford on Dec. 30, but they haven't lost since.
