The No. 15 Barry Buccaneers are part of the 2008-09 Division II basketball television package announced by the NCAA and CBS College Sports Network and their game against Florida Southern will be seen live on CBS College Sports at 1:00 pm on Saturday, Jan. 10. The game also will be syndicated through selected regional sports networks and made available via broadband at www.ncaa.com.
Last year, the Buccaneers went 18-11, 8-8 in the SSC and return 10 letter-winners and four starters, including 2nd-team All-SSC pick Princess Bailey and Barry single-season record holder for made three-pointers, Christina Thompson. Point guard Lucy Martinez helped lead the Bucs to the best assist/turnover ratio in the conference.

Florida Southern comes into the contest winners of two straight after senior guard Alli Fogle celebrated her 22nd birthday by scoring a career-high 20 points to help the Moccasins down Saint Leo 83-75 Wednesday night at Saint Leo. Fogle hit five three-pointers, grabbed eight rebounds, delivered four assists and had three steals, as the Moccasins recovered from a Saint Leo surge early in the second half to improve their record to 10-2, 2-1 in the Sunshine State Conference.
