WINTER PARK, Fla. - The No. 19 University of Tampa (10-3, 1-2 SSC) women's basketball team suffered a 61-48 loss to Rollins College (13-0, 4-0 SSC) in the second straight Sunshine State Conference road loss for the Spartans.

The Tars controlled the game from the beginning as the victory marked the 500th career win for Rollins head coach Glenn Wilkes. With Tampa holding an 11-8 lead at the 14:29 mark of the first half, the Spartans allowed Rollins to go on a 15-0 run as UT went nearly 11 minutes without a basket.

Angela Guiu led Tampa with 12 points, connecting on four three pointers. She also turned in team highs of five rebounds, two assists and two steals. The Spartans shot 26.2 percent from the field as the Tars held a 34 percent clip.
