SOUTH BEND, Ind. (AP) -Lindsay Schrader had 18 points and 14 rebounds and Skylar Diggins added 15 points to lead No. 3 Notre Dame to a 74-69 victory over No. 18 Vanderbilt on Thursday.

Melissa Lechlitner's 3-pointer at the first-half buzzer capped a 9-0 run, and the Fighting Irish (12-0) scored the first three points of the second half to go ahead 43-34. The Commodores (11-2), who led most of the first half, cut the lead to 48-46 on a three-point play by Tiffany Clarke.

The Irish answered with an 8-0 run going ahead 56-46 on a jumper by Lechlitner, who finished with 14 points. The Commodores used a 13-2 run to cut the lead to 72-69 when Jessica Mooney hit a jumper in the paint with 7 seconds left, but Schrader was fouled on the inbounds pass and made a pair of free throws to put the game away.

Jence Rhoads led Vanderbilt with 18 points.
