DETROIT — Stefani Munro finished with a triple-double as Wayne State (Mich.) (6-3, 2-2 GLIAC) remained unbeaten at home following a 74-56 victory against Ohio Dominican (5-4, 1-4 GLIAC) on Thursday night.
One of four Warriors to score in double figures, Munro totaled 11 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists, achieving career-highs in the latter two figures. She has reached double-digit point totals in six consecutive games.
Phaebre Colbert tied her career-best with 25 points, shooting 12-16 from the field. Juanita Cochran had 14 points, as she and Colbert narrowly missed double-doubles with nine rebounds apiece. Cochran also had five blocks
A 3-pointer by Katy Rasor, who led ODU with 15 points, gave the Panthers their only lead of the contest at 5-4 nearly four minutes into the game. Wayne State then went on a seven-point run and led by as many as 15 in the first half.
The Panthers went on a 10-point run from the end of the half through the beginning of the second to cut into the lead, 34-29 with 18:38 to play.
The Warriors soon regained their double-digit advantage and never led by fewer than five points the rest of the way.
Wayne State (49.2 percent) nearly doubled ODU’s shooting percentage (26.3) despite an 0-for-8 showing from 3-point range.
Paige Sickmiller finished with 10 points, seven rebounds and three assists. Deanna Crumpton chipped in seven points and six rebounds.
