No. 15 Mary Washington tops Lehman
Eagles’ McCrae scores 23 points and records five steals
FREDERICKSBURG, Va. -- Jenna McRae scored 23 points to lead No. 15 Mary Washington to an 81-41 win against Lehman on Monday. The Eagles improved to 13-0 on the season.
The Eagles shot 42 percent from the floor for the game (31-74) with four 3-pointers and connected on 15-18 free throws. Lehman shot 35 percent, but were plagued by 33 turnovers on the day. UMW led in rebounds, 45-30.
McRae went 9-16 from the floor, making all three of her 3-point attempts, and added five rebounds, four assists and three steals with no turnovers. Sarah Jones scored 12 points off the bench in 17 minutes and Katie Wimmer added 11 points, six rebounds, six steals and five assists. Carol Dye added eight points and seven rebounds and freshman Aubrey Howland scored six points and grabbed eight rebounds.
Lehman was led by Paula Robinson's 16 points. Jaleesa Gordon had eight points and seven rebounds for the Lightning.
