OXFORD, Miss. – Adrian Wiggins is the new coach at Mississippi.

The school announced the hiring on Monday night. He will be official introduced at a press conference Wednesday.

Wiggins has guided Fresno State to five consecutive NCAA tournament appearances. The Bulldogs won a school record 28 games this season before losing to Georgetown in the opening round of the tournament.

He has a career record of 175-66 after taking control in the final 11 games of the 2004-05 season. Wiggins was an assistant at Frenso State from 2002-05.

Wiggins replaces Renee Ladner, who announced in early March that she was stepping down as head coach.

Mississippi was 12-18 this season.
