Three wins in a row help West Virginia claim No. 25 spot in latest AP Poll

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia cracked the top 25 in the Associated Press Poll this week after recording three consecutive wins.

The Mountaineers claimed the No. 25 spot.

West Virginia captured a 54-47 road victory against Virginia on Dec. 2 and followed it by going 2-0 last week with a 64-48 win versus Marshall on Tuesday and a 67-47 defeat of St. Bonaventure on Saturday.

WVU was preseason ranked No. 17 in the AP Poll, reaching as high as No. 12 in Week 3. Last week, the Mountaineers dropped out of the top 25.
