LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Senior Michael Jordan put his name in Southern Indiana’s record books once again Saturday. Jordan, who finished 73rd in the premier gold race at the Greater Louisville Classic, crossed the line in 24 minutes, 59.39 seconds, which is the 11th fastest time in program history.
The seventh-ranked Screaming Eagles finished 14th as a team in the gold race and were also led by freshman Tyler Schickel (25:04.69) and sophomore Tyler Pence (25:04.71), who finished neck-and-neck in 78th and 79th place respectively.
In the blue race, junior Will Cox (25:49.94) finished 50th, which helped USI to a 10th place finish overall. Freshman Cody Stone (26:00.43) placed 66th and sophomore Eric Scheiber (26.10.77) was 76th to also lead the Eagles.
USI’s silver team finished fifth and was paced by senior Andrew Shellah (27:06.70), who was the 26th fastest runner in the third race. Junior Seth O’Laughlin (27:12.27) was also in the top 35, as he crossed the line in 31st place.
