Three teams at Griak Invite; Two go to Rocky Mountain Shootout
No. 1 Adams State, No. 3 Grand Valley State, No. 5 Augustana (S.D.) at Griak Invitational
Minnesota’s Roy Griak Invitational — the first major meet circled on many cross country fans’ calendars — headlines an action-packed weekend with a meet featuring nearly as many teams as the state has lakes. The 28th annual race will be held on Saturday at Minnesota’s Les Bolstad Golf Course.
The race is headlined by No. 1 Adams State, No. 3 Grand Valley State and No. 5 Augustana (S.D.). Toeing the line with the competition will be No. 16 Central Missouri and No. 20 Southwest Baptist.

In its previous meet, top-ranked Adams State placed second in the Colorado College Invitational.
Grand Valley State, ranked third in the nation, showed well at its meet on Sept. 13. In the Spartan Invite the Lakers placed six runners in the top 10.
After two weeks of rest, Augustana (S.D.) will return to the racepaths at the invitational.
The Vikings, and other ranked teams are joined by 41 other teams, including several top conference and regional teams. The competition will include Central Missouri, Jamestown, Manitoba and Southwest Baptist, to name a few.

No. 2 Western State and No. 6 Colorado Mines at Rocky Mountain Shootout
The second-ranked Mountaineers will compete against some of the nation's best on Saturday at the Rocky Mountain Shootout, hosted by Colorado Mines.
Western State will be matched against Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference rival No. 6 Colorado Mines.
Western State heads into the Rocky Mountain Shootout after both teams finished third at the CSU Invite on Sept. 6.
Colorado Mines placed fifth in a field of seven at its previous meet, the Colorado State Open, on Sept. 6.
No. 4 Chico State and No. 6 Colorado Mines at Stanford Invitational
Sixth-ranked Colorado Mines will be splitting its squad for the weekend and sending some runners to the Rocky Mountain Shootout and some to the Stanford Invitational. Joining Colorado Mines at the Stanford Invitational will be No. 4 Chico State.
Chico State has started its season off strong and will look to continue the success on Saturday.
Also competing in the Stanford Invitational will be Simon Fraser and Southern Oregon, to name a couple.
