No. 7 Alaska-Anchorage at BYU Hawaii

Seventh-ranked Alaska-Anchorage posted a perfect score of 15, easily besting the Seasiders’ score of 56. 

An individual win was posted by senior Susan Tanui. 

The NCAA runner-up a year ago, Tanui started the season where she left off, completing the 5K with a time of 18:14. Making her Alaska-Anchorage debut was sophomore Joyce Kipchumba, a transfer from American International, finishing second at 18:41.

Taking third was junior Bryn Haebe at 18:55, while senior All-American Ivy O’Guinn was fourth at 18:57 and senior Christi Schmitz rounded out the perfect scoring in fifth at 19:02.

The Seawolves will continue their competition in Hawaii with the Chaminade Invitational on Sept. 7.
