Penn In Top Ten At Temple Open

Philadelphia, Pa. -- Senior Charles Cimet (East Setauket, N.Y.) placed 5th and Junior Brian Helfich (East Setauket, N.Y.) placed 7th in epee at the Temple Open this past weekend. Junior Samuel Gay (Ojai, Calif.) placed 14th in epee as well.
Senior Emerson DiNapoli (Los Gatos, Calif.) was the first Penn State fencer to place in the foil division at 24th place. Duke's Dan Cohen was the winner of the foil division this weekend.
Freshman Christopher Cheney (White Bluff, Tenn.) placed just out of the top 10 in saber, finishing in 11th place. Freshman Rafert Wolfgang (Portland, Ore.) was the second Penn State fencer to finish in 28th place in saber. University of Pennsylvania's George Igoe was the first place winner in the saber division.
