BRUNSWICK, Maine -- No. 3 Bowdoin scored three goals in a span of 3:15 late in the first half to spark a 6-0 win against Maine-Farmington on Wednesday evening. With the victory the Polar Bears remain unbeaten at 9-0, while the loss leaves the Beavers at 6-5 on the season.

The Polar Bears opened the game with 19 consecutive shots before breaking onto the scoreboard with 6:32 left in the first half. Liz Clegg received a pass across the top of the circle from Ella Curren and put the ball into the cage. At 3:53, Katie Herter finished off a pass in front from Cathleen Smith to increase the lead to two. Smith followed with a goal 36 seconds later on a feed from Lauren Schroeder in tight to the net.

Pam Herter recorded her first collegiate goal by redirecting Ella Curren's corner attempt. Herter tipped the shot into the back of the net to seal the game for Bowdoin with 16:57 left to play. Cathleen Smith and Katie Herter each added another goal in the second half. Curren finished with two assists on the night.

No. 5 Skidmore 3, Utica 1
SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. -- No. 5 Skidmore won its 25th consecutive home game, defeating Utica 3-1 on Wednesday afternoon.

Annie Rosencrans got the scoring started for Skidmore, taking a pass from Caylyn Sullivan on the wing and sending it home at the 7:13 mark. The Thoroughbreds controlled the game offensively through most of the first half but in the 31st minute, Utica's Mallory Mariano lifted a shot that appeared to be going in before Hilary Cranston made a defensive save on the goal line to help take a 1-0 lead into the half.

Skidmore made it 2-0 at the 40:29 mark on Kelly Blackhurst's 14th goal of the season. Sullivan sent a pass to Blackhurst in the circle that she corralled and beat Utica goalie Monica Storms. Sam Skott pushed the lead to three goals at the 52:36 mark, redirecting a shot from Rosencrans for her fourth goal of the season.
