GLASSBORO, NJ – Jenna O’Sullivan scored the game-winning goal to give No. 16 Rowan a 2-1 victory against No. 6 TCNJ in a New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) game on Saturday.
Rowan improves to 11-4 overall, with a 3-1 NJAC mark. TCNJ is 12-2 overall and 3-2 in the conference.
The scoring opened up in the second half when a TCNJ shot bounced off a Rowan defender into the lower right corner of the cage.
At 52:06, Karlee Henderson tied the score at one after capitalizing on a pass from forward Kellie Campbell.
With eight minutes remaining, O’Sullivan tipped in a pass from back Erin Bernat off a penalty corner.
Rowan took 11 shots and TCNJ had eight. Profs’ goalie Jen Goldberg and Lions’ goalie Roisin Dougherty each stopped five shots.
