The Marauders finished their season 14-7 for the most wins in school history.
After sitting at No. 6 in the poll for the majority of the season, the team jumped above UMass-Lowell, Indiana (Pa.) and Bloomsburg to No. 3. Only Shippensburg (17-2) and West Chester (17-2), which defeated the Marauders in the PSAC Championship, ranked higher.
Millersville, in its fifth season under Coach Shelly Behrens, played a difficult schedule this season. All seven of the team’s losses came against nationally ranked teams and five came against the No. 1 (West Chester) and No. 2 (Shippensburg) teams in the country. Six of Millersville’s wins were scored against teams ranked in the top 10.
Millersville also reached the PSAC Championship game for the first time since 1989.
