STROUDSBURG, Pa. -- No. 3 Bloomsburg suffered its second loss of the season to No. 9 East Stroudsburg Tuesday, 4-2.
The first half featured back and forth action ending with a scoreless deadlock. The second half began with a penalty stroke goal by Ally Roth from the Warriors to put ESU up 1-0.
Brittany Mathews followed suit for the Huskies scoring Bloomsburg's first goal of the game at the 41:05 mark.
ESU scored the next two goals, however, to seize momentum by taking the 3-1 lead on the Huskies with 17 minutes to go in the game. Roth tallied the first score off a penalty corner while Alexis Good scored as well at 52:34 on another penalty corner.
Candice Smith scored off a deflection from Mathews for Bloomsburg to bring it within one with just under eight minutes to play.
With 4:45 on the clock the Warriors scored an insurance goal off a corner from Gabrielle Seibert for the two goal lead, effectively securing the victory.
Mathews finished with a goal and an assist while Smith had a goal for the Huskies.

With the loss AIC drops to 2-1 overall, while the win gives Post a 1-0 record.
Sophomore Emily Kollar hit the back of the net off a penalty corner assisted by junior Jackie Millard in the 12th minute. It was the team's first shot on goal and they made it count.
The Yellow Jackets and Pioneers would remain at 1-0 for nearly 50 minutes before Post sophomore Keliann Margiotta redirected a Carlee Dragon pass into the net.
Both teams would hold until the end of regulation and settle it in overtime.
In the extra period, Junior Lyn-Marie Wilson found herself in the perfect position in front of her net where Dragon fed her a pass in front of the goal for the game-winner.
Yellow Jacket senior goalkeeper Kori Huffman battled in net tallying 13 saves.
The Pioneers outshot the Jackets 16-2. Goalie Meredith Stocklin made one save of the two shots on goal.
