COLUMBIA, Mo. — Missouri head coach Gary Pinkel has received a two-year contract extension through the 2017 season that does not increase his salary but adds more money for his assistants.

The Board of Curators approved a deal Friday that kept Pinkel’s guaranteed salary at $2.35 million and raised the salary pool for the assistants to $2.26 million from $2.10 million. Pinkel will receive an additional $100,000 annually to his annuity.

Missouri has won 40 games the past four seasons, played in six consecutive bowl games and is coming off a 10-3 season. Pinkel, 58, is 77-49 in 10 seasons at Missouri.

All 26 members of the current senior class have either already earned their degree or will have it completed by May 2012. The school said the past four senior classes will have graduated 63 of 67 players.
