Top 17 remain same in coaches' poll; Midwestern State re-enters rankings
There was very little change in the AFCA Division II Coaches’ Top 25 poll as only one team in the Top 25 lost this past week. The top 17 spots remained the same with Valdosta State still No. 1, followed by Minnesota State-Mankato, Northwest Missouri State, West Texas A&M and Colorado State-Pueblo rounding out the top five. West Texas A&M did pick up one first-place vote this week after its 72-0 shutout of Central State.

St. Cloud State dropped from the poll after its loss to No. 11 Minnesota-Duluth, allowing Midwestern State to re-enter the rankings at No. 25.
There are three Top 25 matchups this week, and all three are very important conference games with first place on the line. The first game sees No. 1 Valdosta State traveling to No. 14 West Alabama and control of the Gulf South Conference going to the winner. The second Top 25 matchup has No. T-21 Tarleton State (Texas) playing host to No. 4 West Texas A&M in a key Lone Star Conference game, while the third matchup has No. 5 Colorado State-Pueblo traveling to No. 19 Chadron State with first place in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference on the line.
