LSU kicker Colby Delahoussaye was in the car with Sam Foltz and Mike Sadler when they crashed this summer. Delahoussaye survived the accident, but Foltz and Sadler were not as fortunate.

For the rest of the season, Delahoussaye will wear cleats that honor his two friends. The white and gold kicks have the numbers ‘27’ and ’3’ inscribed in them, along with the names ‘Sam’ and ‘Mike.’ Really touching stuff:

Good on Delahoussaye for paying homage to Foltz and Sadler. They are missed dearly.

Joe Boozell has been a college basketball writer for NCAA.com since 2015. His work has also appeared in Bleacher Report, FOXSports.com and NBA.com. Joe’s claim to fame since joining NCAA.com: he’s predicted the correct national championship game twice… and picked the wrong winner both times. Growing up, Joe squared off against both Anthony Davis and Frank Kaminsky in the Chicagoland basketball scene. You can imagine how that went.
